Sea Monsters – A Walking with Dinosaurs Trilogy

At times a little corny, but always interesting, British wildlife presenter Nigel Marven goes on a trek back in time to what are deemed to be the 7 most dangerous seas on the prehistoric world. This is a time nearly 4 billion years ago when there was no life on land, including plants, but plenty in the prehistoric seas of the nascent world.

This first episode is called Sea Monsters, part of the A Walking with Dinosaurs Trilogy, a BBC television series that appeared in 2003. The prehistoric “monsters” have been recreated using the latest CGI and computer technology of the day, so well done that it would rival, if not outdo, many movies such as Jurassic Park. It is definitely a series worth watching for those of you interesting in learning more about prehistory life billions of years ago on planet Earth.

Some of the creatures that can be seen in this prehistoric world include:

A giant orthocone feeding on sea scorpions
